My Pick Of Christmas Jumpers

Today I have searched the web to bring you my top pick of Christmas jumpers. I was working last weekend at work and we got to wear our Christmas jumpers for charity so I've already bought and worn mine. I got a neon pink Minion jumper and I absolutely love it. It's really bright and stands out a mile!
Gingerbread Snack Jumper //  Caroling Christmas Kitty

I think that these first ones I've chosen from Digital Dudz are amazing. You download a free app and then insert your smartphone underneath secure velcro. Santa pops infront of the cabin window with the first one and waves and the gingerbread gets bitten bit by bit. My favourite two would have to be the Santa Claus with the moving eyes and the Kitty that blinks and meows Christmas carols. They also had brilliant Halloween ones too. I think that these are highly innovative and I love them.

I think this selection of four are fun and comical. These would brighten peoples' moods on even the dullest of days.
How funny is this Minion one? I think it's adorable and have a similar one to this but in neon pink.
The 'This is not an Xmas jumper' is funny and the Elf film reference one is hilarious. I think I need this one!

This selection is super cute. I am in love with the green one from ASOS with it's little eyes and pom pom nose!
Missguided Naughty List Jumper // Missguided Unwrap Me

My favourite out of these is the 'I'm on the Naughty List one.' Th Unwrap me one looks dressed up for a night out. I love the 'Chillin' ' one too as it's really casual and looks comfy.

So there's my pick of Christmas jumpers. Which one is your favourite? Do you already have your Christmas jumper?

My Pick Of Stocking Fillers for £1 or less

Traditional Wooden Knitting Doll with wool //  Christmas Pudding for dogs //  Magnetic Shopping pad and pen set // Family Guy socks //
Ladies Glitter Scarf //  Baking Calendar // Insulated Travel Mug // Luxury Design Notebook
Despicable Me 2 Calendar // Mrs Brown's Boys Calendar // Disney Frozen Shopper Bag //  Jane Asher Edible Pink Glitter
Jane Asher Pastel Icing //  Shell Pink Oversized Scrunchie // Barry M Bright Fuchsia Nail Polish  //
Peg Fairy Kit

Hi everyone.

I love Christmas so much and with a huge family, I start buying early as I have a lot of people to buy for. I love finding bargains and today I've compiled stocking fillers which are either £1 or less. There are some great pieces of treasure to find which are great quality and I'd be very happy to buy or receive these items. When looking for bargains I tend to look in Pound shops, Home Bargains, B&M, supermarkets such as Asda and online sales in River Island, New Look, ASOS, Topshop and Ebay.

The Knitting doll is really cute. I would buy this for either my grandma or best friend who love creating items with wool.
I chose the Christmas Pudding and the dog toys as I have two puppies and always include them at Christmas time. My cats play with string or magazines so I get them their favourite treats which are Dreamies. You can get pet stocking from the Pound Land too which I've bought in the past with treats and a toy inside.
The calendars are an absolute bargain. I love Mrs Brown's boys and so does my fiance and grandma and grandad so I would buy two of these. With the baking one I know a few people who would love one of these. Another friend of mine loves Minions so I need to buy this one for her.
The baking items are fabulous. Pink edible glitter? Oh my . I need this right now along with the pastel icing tubes and the cupcake kit.
The pink scrunchie is from the sale at New Look and the Barry M polish is an absolute bargain in the sale at River Island.
The notebooks look gorgeous and the magnetic shopping pad would come in handy for people too.
Frozen is all the rage at the moment and this shopper bag is only £1.
How adorable are the little fairy pegs? I love fairies and would have loved this kit when I was younger. In fact I probably still would now.
In the cold winter time a flask would be perfect for on the go and this sparkly scarf would add a little warmth and dress and outfit up too.
My fiance would love these Family Guy socks in his stocking I'm sure.

Diamond Pencil // Christmas Dog Toys //  Jane Asher Cupcake Kit
Putty // Fortune Teller Fish // Hello Kitty Jelly Belly Beans // Birdy Tissues //  Ice Cream Bubbles

I love crystals and these would sparkle every time you write or draw with them.
I think it's good to add fun to items in a stocking so that's why I chose the slime in a tub. I love squidging slime as it feels so good. I used to adore Fortune Telling Fish and they used to appear in Christmas crackers. I like how you lay them on your hand and depending on the movement of the fish, the little information paper tells you what you're feeling.
I love this ice cream purely for the decoration but it's a bubble blower too.
Jelly Belly's are delicious and these ones are paired with Hello Kitty so that's a real winner!
Finally a pack of decorative tissues which will be handy to keep in handbags.

All of these items would add up to less than £24 which I think is brilliant. I actually need to buy some now!

Which are you favourite? Do you buy stocking fillers?

Japanese Candy Unboxing

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!

I originally went onto the Cybercandy website as they used to do Japanese sweets in a mixed box but when I went on I couldn't find them so I turned to Ebay. I typed in Japanese candy assortment and a few different options came up. This particular mix cost around £12 with postage added and it arrived surprising quickly.

First of all how adorable is the Little Twin Stars bag that the candy arrived in? I don't have the heart to throw it away. I need to make a collage with it or something. I am drawn to cute packaging and kawaii items so this candy was a must have for me. I love lucky bags and surprises and trying new sweeties so I had to get this.
Below is all of the different candy pieces that I got. I got quite a lot an an array of different pieces to try too.
The poo one looks very interesting!! (Might have to give that one a sniff first!)

I love the colours and cuteness and can't wait to try them out.

I also got a free bonus gift with my package too which is a nice touch. I adore the cute packaging on this one too.

Inside were two lemon sweeties and a piece of tropical dried fruit too.

Do you like trying out new candy too?

What's In My November Glossybox?

Hello. I hope you are all well.

Today I have my November Glossybox unboxing to show you. I thought I had received it last week and then I got a sudden realisation that it was my missing August box that has only just been resent. It took from August until last week to sort it out and get it resent which is disappointing to say the least.

Anyway onto this November box. In my e-mail box everyone was sent a spoiler to say that each box was going to contain a Burt's Bees lip product which I was looking forward to receiving. I do love beauty boxes but I'm not sure after Christmas whether I am going to continue with them as I want my Kawaii ones and foodie ones instead. We shall see.

The products were contained in the luxury pink Glossy box with tissue paper, sticker and paper crinkles. It always looks impressive does Glossybox and it's a lovely treat to arrive through the post.
If you're not familiar with Glossybox, it's a monthly subscription box which contains beauty items and costs £10 plus £3.25 postage and packaging per month. If you pay month by month as you go on, you can unsubscribe at any time.

On first glimpse I was impressed by the contents. I was pleased to see that there is a contents card with information and prices on this month as I didn't like it being online. I was used to having a card in there for quick reference.

I adore hair care. I could stare at it in Boots for the longest time. I am in search of a miracle, softening and glossy product that makes my curls look fab without any frizz. I can't wait to try out this OGX Argan Oil Of Morocco Shampoo. The oil contained inside is said to rapidly reach the hair shaft and restore shine, soften and strengthen the hair. The full size of this is only £3 for 385ml so if I like it I will certainly be purchasing the full size. The size I received was a dinky 88.7ml. Some subscribers may have received the conditioner instead which I would usually prefer. I needed more shampoo though so I'm happy.

I love eyeliner as it makes my eyes stand out. Without it my eyes look really bare and I notice a difference. I've not heard of this Lollipops Make Up Eye Pencil before but I love the name of the brand! On the card it states that it's international and when searching the website it says that the products are made in France and Italy. I'm liking the look of their lipsticks as well as other products very much. I love that this pencil is twist-up-able as I can never be bothered finding a sharpener. Usually once it's gone blunt I just reach for a new one so with twistables I can use them to the end.
I love the pink and gold leopard packaging and love how it contains Vitamin E with anti-aging and anti-radical action. I love, love, love that the pencil glides on like a dream too. I get rid of pencils that you need to exert effort or drag across the skin and I can tell already that this is going to be an absolute dream. I will get lots of use out of this product.
The eye pencil costs 14 euros.

Next we have this Monu Skincare- Refining Capri Facial Oil which was so hard to photograph with the days getting darker earlier and the white text on the bottle. The full size of this oil would be £26 for 100ml and I received 30ml.
"An invigorating facial oil to balance oily skin and decongest pores to ensure that breakouts remain a thing of the past."
The oil contans grape seed, Camphor ( I had to google what this is and it's a white crystalline substance with an aromatic scent and is found in essential oils) and citrus oils. I unscrewed the lid and  sniffed it and I can smell lemons in there.

Oooo I love lip products and haven't had anything from Burt's Bees before. This costs £6.99 and I'm really happy with the shade Pucker that I received.
"100% natural, sheer colour enriched with moisturising Apricot Wax glides on lips for a sweet and super shiny finish.. so your lips shine as much as your personality."
This smells deliciously sweet like strawberries and glided on my lips. It feels really moisturising on my lips too. If you touch it, it does have that slightly sticky feeling.

Last but not least I received this H2O+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment which would cost £27.50 full sized which is 50ml. I received 8ml in a small tube. You can buy the full size from Marks & Spencer's.
"This oil-free moisture gel delivers deep hydration while minimising the appearance of fine lines." I usually leave skin products in little tubes but this actually sounds good so I'm going to make a point of trying this out.

So that's November's Glossybox. I do like this box and feel that they are improving and getting back to their roots of where they first started.
My favourite products this month are the shampoo, eye pencil and Burt's Bees.

What do you think of this box? Did you get one too?

Love Laura xoxo
Oh and the invitation is to use on a website that has designer clothes and I got a £20 voucher to use. I haven't been on the site so I'm not sure how far this £20 will go.

What's Inside My Birchbox Telegraph Box?

Today I have an unboxing to show you from Birchbox. They have partnered up with The Telegraph and produced this special edition box.
I haven't had a Birchbox in a number of months now as I stopped my subscription so this box made the the whole experience fresh and exciting again.
If you're not familiar with Birchbox, it's a monthly box subscription that costs £10 + £2.95 postage and packaging. Inside you receive five beauty samples.

The contents are housed in a plain cardboard small box and inside you find that the beauty samples are in a lovely drawstring bag.

Here's the first look that I got as I opened the drawstring. I was already pleasantly surprised. The beauty products stayed neat inside the box too when travelling.

First up is this nail polish by Soigne. I've not heard of this brand before but I'm loving the shade Pomegranate for its vibrancy. The nail lacquer retails for £11 so already this pays for the box and everything else is a bonus.

I love dry shampoo and use it regularly. It freshens up your hair and gives a lovely scent too as though it's just been washed. This Philip Kingsley spray would be £13.50 to buy full sized so it's nice to receive a luxury product to try out.

Look how this Liz Earle Hot Cloth and Cleanser has been wrapped up!

This retails from £13.25 and is a cult hot cloth cleanser. It is suitable for all skin types and produces clean and radiant skin. I need to try this out this time as I once just gave it to my mum. When it comes to make up I want it all but with skin care it doesn't seem to excite me.

Oooooo I love a bit of Benefit. This mini They're Real mascara is a great addition to have as it costs £19.50 full size. It's a non smudge formula which is great for daytime but hard work to take off at night or you know, the net morning if you've forgotten!

Last but not least I got the Aromatherapy Associates - Relax Light Bath & Shower Oil which would be £39 if it was full sized. I love shower oils as they feel luxurious. The one that I've tried is the L'Occitane Almond Shower oil and that was lush.

What lovely luxe treats in this box.
My favourites are the Benefit mascara and the nail polish. It has made me want to purchase the box again especially the Christmas edition next month.

Love Laura xoxo

(I won this with the Telegraph as a prize so it's an example box of the sorts of items that you receive inside a Birchbox.)

Pink Tease- Dazzle and Afterdark Eye Shadows Review

Hi everyone and happy Friday.

The weather is terrible today, I'm so glad that I have the day off. I'm snuggled up whilst listening to the rain outside. Bliss!

So today I have a review on the Pink Tease eye shadow palettes which I previously showed in my mini haul. The palettes that I chose are the Afterdark Shade 2 which are the purple shades and the Dazzle shade 1 which are the bronzes and browns.

The palettes are not the greatest quality and are made of cheap plastic. Inside the Afterdark quad you get a slim mirror for application on the go and in both you get an applicator which is one of those cheap ones that isn't great at applying so I would recommend using a quality eye shadow brush.
Both of the palettes cost a tiny £1 each which is brilliant if they are any good.

I chose these particular palettes as purples are great for green eyes and I have a little green at the centre of my eyes and bronzes are excellent at enhancing blue eyes.

So let's talk about the performance.

This is the Dazzle palette and I was really impressed with this one. The bronze shades were pigmented and smooth, especially the middle shade here. Look how beautiful it is. Reminds me of a bronzed goddess shade. The white wasn't pigmented at all and barely showed up. All of the shades are swatched without a primer being used which is really impressive.

The Afterdark palette wasn't as impressive as the colours were no where near as pigmented (apart from the darkest shade.) The colours hardly showed up when swatched so I wouldn't recommend this one. The palette also  had a lot of fall out when trying to apply.

Here I am wearing the Dazzle shades and the darkest one underneath as eyeliner.

What I love:
How pigmented the bronze shades are.
The tiny price of £1 each.
That they are not tested on animals.

What I don't love:
The strong smell of talc.
The cheap plastic palettes.
The poor pigmentation of the purple palette.
The amount of fall out from the powders.

Pink Tease Pastel Mini Nail Polishes Review - Candy Nails

A while ago on Twitter I won a £10 voucher to spend with Make Up Rumours. I managed to buy all of the above make up and put around a pound towards it myself. I'd not heard of the brand Pink Tease before and I like discovering if there any any hidden treasures.

Today I am reviewing the Pastel Mini Nail Polish set which costs a tiny £1.50. Winter pastels are what I'm all about so here I am on a cold November's day bringing you a bit of colour.

You get all of the above six shades in a plastic container which I've thrown away as it wasn't substantial. The nail polish bottles are miniature but I'd say you'd get maybe at least eight separate wears out of each bottle. I gave the bottles a good shake buy you can still see separation and white which needs properly mixing in. The logo isn't printed in great quality on the bottles either as I can see some missing parts on letters already.

I decided to wear all six shades on my nails at once and I like the look of the finished result.
The polish was easy to apply but needed a decent amount of polish on the brush so I kept on having to dip it back in the pot.
With one coat, the polish was uneven and streaky so I left a decent amount of drying time and then added a further coat. The lemon shade was the most transparent of the collection and even with a second coat you can see my nail underneath still. I also noticed that the polishes smelt strong too which I didn't like.

The polishes aren't given shade names which is a shame as you are then left to your own imagination to try and describe them. The polish looks glossy and I love the blue and pink shades but sadly they chipped very quickly on me. I didn't use a topcoat however so if you like the look of these polishes then you can always see if they last longer with one.

What I love about them:
I love the pastel pink and blue shades.
I love the affordability of them.
They look really glossy.

What I don't love:
The logos on the bottles aren't great quality.
The polishes have a strong smell to them.
They don't have shade names.
The yellow is far too transparent.
They don't have good longevity.

Have you tried Pink Tease before?

Etude House - Fresh Cherry Lip Tint Review

Happy Friday everyone.

I bought the Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint on Ebay for a couple of pounds from the Etude House sellers shop. It took a long time for it to arrive, I would say about five or six weeks but it was worth it when it finally dropped through the letterbox.

I love Etude House and I was drawn to it at first for the amazing packaging. This product is the Fresh Cherry Tint which is available in four different shades. I chose this one as it's a gorgeous pink colour and it's in the shade PK002 Cherry tint #4.

Etude House describes the lip tint as a "tint promotes moist & shiny cherry lips with a smooth, creamy texture."

Directions- Use tip to gather and apply tint, Apply extra layer for added coverage.

I love the font and the hot pink bottle. The lid screws off and there is an applicator to apply the lip tint. It smells absolutely delicious like sweet bubblegum and I could just eat it all up. I did slightly lick my lips and it didn't taste good so I wouldn't try it if I were you! The tint looks as though it is a bright Barbie pink but as soon as it has contact with the back of my hand or lips it applies quite sheer. If you add more product by building it up then you can achieve a more vibrant look.

The tint does feel creamy and applies smoothly but then it has that drying effect on your lips like a tint has. I'm comparing it to Benefit's tints and these do exactly the same.
The product looks like a shiny lip gloss when wet and then dries to a stain. It has really good longevity and lasted for hours on my lips (and also stained the back of my hand!)

What I love about it:
- I love the cute pink bottle.
The scent smells delicious.
It's very affordable.
I love the pink shade.
You can build up a more vibrant look or keep it sheer.
Long-lasting.

What I don't love:
The drying feeling it has on my lips as soon as the tint sinks into my lips.

I would definitely repurchase and I'd like to try the other shades too.

Love Laura xoxo

The Autumn Tag 2014

Hi everyone,

If anyone were to ask me what my favourite season was I would surely say Spring/ Summer time. However the more I think about it, I love Halloween and Bonfire night so much and both of these are in the Autumn time.
I cam across the Autumn tag that Georgina from Makeup Pixi3 had created and thought I would give it a shot.

1.  Ok we're talking coffee's - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?
I love love love flavoured coffees and my favourite ever would be cinnamon flavoured. I love the Gingerbread latte that I got ( i think from Costa) last year and it had a little gingerbread man biscuit poking out of the cream on the top. So adorable that I took a pic and Instagrammed it! I love caramel lattes too and they remind me of my friend Lucy.

2.  Accessories - what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?
I wear the whole lot in Autumn time. I didn't use to like hats at all but I'm a sucker for cute ones especially with pom-poms on them now. I also get earache if I go out in the cold without one on so I always make sure that I wear one. I wear black boots too mostly and my Skecher snow boots and pink Hunter wellies are a must have. The Skechers have lasted me so long and they're still practically like new. I wore my River Island and Primark ones so much that unfortunately they died and went to dustbin heaven.

3.  Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
The only time I change the music that I listen to is at Christmas time or for summer songs so in Autumn time I'm still in the chart music phase. I adore Meghan Trainor at the moment. Her voice is so distinctive an I love her style.

4.  Perfume - what's your favourite scent for this time of year?
I vary my perfumes depending on what I feel like at the time. The Body Shop chocolate perfume reminds me of cold weather though as I received it last Christmas time and it smells absolutely divine.

5.  Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?
I actually need to get into the whole candle thing. I love my house to smell delicious and the varying scents sound amazing. I wish there was a Bath and Bodyworks over here. Actually I wouldn't have any money left so maybe it's for the best.

6.  What do you love most about Autumn?
I love the whole spookiness of Halloween and watching movies. I love getting a takeaway and snuggling up. I love wearing onesies. I love the Autumn sunshine and the crisp leaves.

7.  Favourite makeup look?
The dolly look which consists of pink lips, blusher, eyeliner and volume mascara.

8.  What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
I was most looking forward to Halloween which has just been and gone, Bonfire night, preparations for Christmas by buying presents, taking a trip to the Enchanted Forest next Tuesday and visiting my family.

Love Laura xoxo
Thanks Georgina for the lovely tag xx
